We've Been Where You Are
That's Why We Built RawLab.

We’ve built, scaled, and raised capital. As founders, operators, and investors, we’ve launched startups from scratch, closed global deals, and grown companies across the U.S., Europe, and beyond.

Your business is more than slides and spreadsheets — it’s a living system. When vision, execution, or alignment breaks, growth stalls. We’re here to reconnect the pieces and restore rhythm.

RawLab is also building a venture portfolio and a fund in formation, investing in the founders and technologies shaping the next generation of innovation.

Our mission: Help you find the root cause, rebuild from clarity, and scale with a system that adapts — not collapses.

Samira Curtis — Founder & Managing Partner

“Founders are artists. Vision without strategy is a dream — and strategy without soul is noise.”

The Artist’s Lens

The best founders, like the best athletes and musicians, master one primary instrument: themselves. Every experience, every scar, every breakthrough shapes how they build. No two founders are the same — and that uniqueness is their power.

The ones who truly break through don’t perform for investors or the market. They build from a place of truth. They know who they are, what they stand for, and what they’re here to create. That inner clarity is not a “soft” skill — it’s the only competitive advantage that can’t be copied, optimized, or replaced by technology.

Authenticity is the last real edge.

My work starts there. I sit with founders in their vision and their doubt — including the thing they haven’t said out loud yet. I listen deeply, reflect on what I see, and help them clarify who they are as builders. By the time I invest, I’m not just backing a company. I know the person I’m backing.

That is what I look for. That is what I invest in.
This is a path I am walking myself. Building RawLab is my own act of creation. Every day, I am becoming more of who I am. That lived experience is what I bring into every founder relationship.

The Systems Lens

The most important companies don’t just fix surface-level
problems — they change the systems that create those problems in the first place.

That belief is the foundation of RawLab.

My perspective was shaped at the intersection of technology, geopolitics, global markets, and innovation ecosystems. Over the last two decades, I’ve worked across industries and continents, watching how technological, economic, and political systems interact — and how a shift in one can transform the others.

Technology never moves alone. It evolves alongside capital flows, regulation, infrastructure, and human ambition.

When you understand those connections, you see the future differently. You stop chasing trends and start recognizing the deeper forces that will define what comes next.

That system's lens guides how I partner with founders and where RawLab focuses.

Operational Roots & Strategic Foresight

I started my career helping scale global technology companies like Cisco (WebEx), Symantec (Bluecoat), Brocade, and Dell. Those years gave me firsthand insight into how companies grow — and why many promising technologies never reach their full potential.

At Forrester Research, I then advised Fortune 500 CIOs and CMOs on enterprise technology and AI strategy nearly ten years before today’s wave of adoption.

I’ve also sat in the founder’s seat. I co-founded ventures in emerging technologies, including quantum-based authentication, building products on the edge of what the market was ready to accept.

All of this led me to a lesson I carry into every conversation with founders: timing matters as much as technology.

I don’t chase trends. I watch them form.

Global Connectivity

I designed and led one of the first accelerator programs helping European founders enter Silicon Valley, backed by EIT funding under Horizon Europe — the EU’s €95.5B research and innovation program. Through that work, I partnered closely with Seed and Series A founders, helping them access the U.S. market, connect with investors, and navigate the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

Today, RawLab is connected to a global network spanning 91+ countries, giving founders strategic guidance, market access, and investor relationships across borders.

Alongside RawLab, I’m building Ra’s Circle and Ra’s House — initiatives designed to create a trusted global community where founders, investors, and operators can collaborate more openly between Silicon Valley and the rest of the world.

The Standard

I look for founders with an artist’s mindset — people with not only discipline, but the courage to build something only they can build. Founders with resilience, conviction, and the willingness to move before there is proof.

I look for more than strong products. I look for strong minds: integrity under pressure, real self-awareness, and a quiet confidence that earns trust long before the metrics show up.

At RawLab, we ignore hype cycles. We focus on where conviction, invention, and aligned capital can create real, lasting change.

Meaningful success happens when you lead with truth and conviction.

"The journey is the work. Building with purpose and authenticity — that is not the path to joy. It is the joy. "
